Key facts

As of Oct 30, 2026, the iPhone Duo costs $1,999 for 256GB, $2,199 for 512GB, $2,599 for 1TB and $3,199 for 2TB in the US, before sales tax. Apple's spec page lists no difference between tiers other than storage, so on paper the higher tiers buy you space, not speed, though Apple doesn't list RAM.

As of Oct 30, 2026, the iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 for 256GB in the US and tops out at $3,199 for 2TB, according to MacRumors' launch pricing report. In between sit 512GB at $2,199 and 1TB at $2,599.

Apple released the iPhone Duo on Oct 23 in the US and more than 70 other countries and regions, with 28 more following on Oct 30, per MacRumors. Apple's iPhone Duo spec page lists one set of specs for all four capacities, so storage is what moves the price.

US iPhone Duo prices by storage tier

These are Apple's US list prices as of Oct 30, 2026, as reported by MacRumors. They exclude sales tax: Trending Topics describes the $1,999 starting price as before tax. The step-up and per-GB columns are our calculation, not Apple's.

StorageUS priceStep-up from previous tierExtra storage in the stepCost per extra GB (our calculation)
256GB$1,999Base model--
512GB$2,199$200256GB$200 / 256GB = about $0.78
1TB$2,599$400512GB$400 / 512GB = about $0.78
2TB$3,199$6001,024GB$600 / 1,024GB = about $0.59

This table counts 1TB as 1,024GB. Counted as 1,000GB, the 1TB step works out to about $0.82 per extra GB and the 2TB step to about $0.60.

Either way you count it, the jump to 2TB is the cheapest storage per gigabyte of the three upgrades, and the step to 512GB is the cheapest in dollars.

Cheap per gigabyte is not the same as cheap. Going from 256GB to 2TB adds $1,200 in total, which is 60% of the base model's $1,999 price.

The advertised capacity also isn't all yours. Apple's spec page says a standard configuration uses about 12GB to 24GB, including iOS 27 and deletable Apple apps, and that Apple Intelligence on-device models use about 7GB. That overhead likely matters most on the 256GB model, where it takes the biggest share of the total.

What's the same on every tier

Apple's spec page doesn't list any difference between the four capacities beyond storage. Every tier gets the A20 Pro chip, the 7.6-inch inner display and 5.4-inch outer display, and the same two colors, Night Sky and Star White.

RAM is the open question. Apple doesn't list RAM on the spec page, and MacRumors reports the iPhone Duo is expected to have 12GB, citing a leaker who says Apple first planned 16GB. None of the sources consulted for this guide say RAM changes by storage tier, so on paper the higher tiers buy you storage and nothing else.

Sources by market: UK from iOS Hacker's country list and Mobile News; Canada from iPhone in Canada; Australia from Finder; India from Business Today; UAE from tbreak; Germany from PC Games Hardware and Trending Topics; Singapore from Mothership; and Japan's starting price from Kursiv, which lists only the 256GB model.

The UK prices use the same digits as the US prices, just in pounds. Same numbers, different currency.

Tax treatment varies, and most sources don't spell it out. Tbreak says Apple's UAE store lists prices "inclusive of 5% VAT." iPhone in Canada put a maxed-out 2TB model at $5,374 after 12% GST and PST in British Columbia, which indicates Canadian list prices are pre-tax. The sources for the UK, Australia, India, Germany, Singapore and Japan don't say whether tax is included, so check Apple's local store before comparing markets. Esquire India also cautions that a simple currency conversion won't show what you'll actually pay. For more markets, see the international section.
