Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and the choices you have.
The short version
- We don't sell personal information.
- We don't use advertising cookies.
- Every email has a one-tap unsubscribe, and you can ask us to export or delete your data at any time.
iPhone Duo Guide (iPhoneDuoGuide.com) is operated by Nnigma Inc. ("we", "us"). This policy explains how we handle personal information on the site.
What we collect
- Newsletter and alerts. Your email address, which emails or alerts you asked for, and whether you open them, so we can stop sending what isn't useful.
- Accounts. If you sign in with Google or an email link, we receive your email address and, if you choose, a display name and profile picture. We never see or store a password.
- Contributions. Reports, forum posts and poll votes you submit. Poll votes are counted once per device using an anonymous identifier.
- Usage. Basic, aggregated analytics such as page views, referring sites and device type.
How we use it
To send the emails you asked for, run your account, publish and moderate contributions, and understand which pages are useful. We don't sell personal information.
Who processes it
We use service providers to run the site, and they handle data only on our behalf:
- Hosting and database
- The site and its database, including accounts, contributions and form submissions.
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit) stores newsletter and alert subscribers and sends those emails.
- Contact form
- Formspree delivers messages sent through the contact form to our inbox.
- Sign-in
- Google, if you choose to sign in with it.
- Video
- YouTube, for embedded videos. They're embedded in privacy-enhanced mode and don't load until you press play.
- Analytics
- Aggregated page-view statistics.
Your choices
Every email has a one-tap unsubscribe link. You can ask us to export or delete your account and contributions at any time by emailing privacy@iphoneduoguide.com or through the contact page.
Community forum
If you take part in the forum, we store your display name, the threads and replies you post (including edits), your "Helpful" votes, any flags you submit, the date and version of the Terms and Community Guidelines you accepted, and whether you want an email when someone replies to your threads. Posts and display names are public and can be indexed by search engines; your email address, votes, flags and acceptance records are not shown publicly. Reply emails can be turned off at any time from the link in each email.
Cookies and local storage
We use your browser's storage to keep you signed in and to count your poll vote once. We don't use advertising cookies. If we add any in future, we'll update this page and ask first where the law requires it. Videos are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode, and YouTube may set cookies only after you press play.
Children
The site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced in the newsletter.
